Welcome to Bradley Napier Design

I founded Bradley Napier Design in 2017 to combine all my creative services into one company. My products and services are varied and a reflection of my personal and professional experience.

After studying foundation Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, I transferred to Heriot-Watt University to complete a BA (Hons) Design for Textiles –  specialising in woven textile design.

I worked as a senior designer developing technical textiles for the transport industry for 7 years with Replin Fabrics at Marchstreet Mills in Peebles Scotland and when the mill closed it gates in 2015 an opportunity arose for me to combine my design skills with an interest in the circular economy and the re-purposing of potential waste materials. Contracted by a local hospitality company I led a team to save objects from the mill, giving them a new lease of life by transforming them into location friendly features and art installations for a local hotel whose building used to be the family home of the original mill owners.

The space become not only aesthetically pleasing but a powerful yet subtle marketing tool that stimulated retention of customers and staff, increased review scores and interest on online platforms and had a marketing lifespan that outweighed any external marketing activity.

To develop this business I secured a place on The Famous Grouse Idea Centre (FGIC) Accelerator course powered by Elevator. This intensive 12-week Programme allowed me to establishing a business model, set goals and identifying new markets and opportunities.

During the programme I was re-introduces to design thinking and my interest in the business world. As a result I applied and gained a place on the DJCAD Design for Business MSc at Dundee University. During this year I undertook an accelerated development programme combining the tools of business thinkers, analysts, and strategists with the methods and mindsets of designers.

Working with international companies and organisations I blended theory and practice to see whole system approaches,  developed and implemented design strategically and learned the value of human centric problem solving and innovation. I want to help organisations harness the true potential of their workforce as I manage and lead teams for creative project development.
